The 5th International Festival of Science Fiction and Fictional Worlds LiTerraCon will take place in Kyiv from November 10 to 12. Polish author Tomasz Kołodziejczak will visit this year’s festival and take part in the following activities:
18:00, “Bukva” book store (Bohdana Khmelnytskoho st., 3) – big pre-convent meeting “We do not escape anywhere, or Why do we need science fiction?”
12:00 (Museum of History of Kyiv, Bohdana Khmelnytskoho st., 7, 1st floor) – “Welcome to the Universum!” A short course in making of new worlds from Tomasz Kołodziejczak
13:00 From the “The Age of Wolves” to the “The Epoch of Unicorns” – unique international anthologies from KSD with the participation of authors.
12:30 (Museum of History of Kyiv, Bohdana Khmelnytskoho st., 7, 1st floor) – Discussion “How and why we do comics. The Polish Experience and the Ukrainian way”.
Tomasz Kołodziejczak is a Polish science fiction writer, publisher, publicist, editor and laureate of an established Janusz Zajdel prize.
The most ambitious cycle of Tomasz Kołodziejczak is “Ostatnia Rzeczpospolita”, parts of which were made available to Ukrainian readers in international anthologies of the KSD publishing house “The Age of Wolves” (2015), “The Journey of Three Kings” (2016 ) and “Nineteen Guards” (2017), which we presented in our festivals. The author depicts the future world which is invaded by attackers from other worlds.
